No Two PAD cases are the same. No Two PAD doctors are the same.

How many times have you bought something with the label, ‘One Size Fits All’ only to find out that it, in fact, does NOT fit?

So why would you take the chance of having a ‘One Size Fits All’ treatment plan?

Because of the advanced technology that our team of Dallas vascular surgeons use at Lam Vascular & Associates, we have the ability to offer different treatment options for peripheral artery disease (PAD). While many others may immediately suggest amputation, Dr. Russell Lam is able to not only offer different treatment options, but he has succeeded in controlling PAD and, most importantly, salvaging the limbs of over 10,000 patients.

Some people have a mentality that one procedure will be able to successfully treat many different severities, types, and extremities of (PAD), but that is not always the case. Furthermore, some will jump to the amputation conclusion before exploring other opportunities to save a patient’s limb.

At Lam Vascular & Associates, we strongly believe that each and every PAD case should be treated uniquely, and we strive to do all that we can to prevent amputation.

Two procedures that we offer for the treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD), but are not limited to, are:

Angioplasty and stenting have proven to be successful options to help restore blood flow through the arteries. In this procedure, a flexible tube, called a catheter, is inserted into an artery and guided to the place where the artery is narrowed. Once the tube reaches the narrowed artery, a small balloon at the end of the tube inflates for a short time. The pressure from the inflated balloon presses the plaque against the wall of the artery to improve blood flow.

Dr. Lam also offers a viable alternative to more traditional treatment methods including laser atherectomy. Laser atherectomy is a minimally invasive endovascular technique for removing plaque from blood vessels within the body.

Every PAD case is different, and every PAD doctor is different as well. Dr. Lam’s passion and expertise are what sets him apart and he will go the extra mile to give his patients the attention and options they need.
